No Options No Choice| Dr Rosemary van den Berg

For the first time ever episode four of BooksWA is filmed from its’ new home at the studios of CTV Perth on Wellington Street. Introducing author Dr Rosemary van den Berg and her book titled No Options No Choice. Set in the early 1900’s No Options No Choice is a story based on her father’s life, a half caste aboriginal who was taken away from his mother at an early age and placed in the Moore River Settlement.

A life spent away from his family, growing up with strangers and wondering why he was so different to everyone else. Dr van den Berg talks openly to presenter Belinda Cipriano about what it was like for her father growing up in such a dictated environment.
