Volunteers and Work Experience

CTV Perth offers work experience to volunteers, all interested people and any student interested in a career in television. If you would like to help with administration or training in our office and editing suites you are most welcome. CTV Perth especially welcomes volunteers to assist in developing training programs, new projects and TV shows.

Students have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience at CTV Perth in:

Administration Production Editing Scriptwriting Presenting Research Public Relations
with an opportunity to be a member of a support crew on location.

Work-for-the-Dole-Schemes

CTV Perth has developed numerous award-winning Work-for-the-Dole projects, including the extensive Work-for-the-Dole programmes which won a Perth City Council Encouragement Award for shows such as Perth City Talks to CTV and Triple 8. The Work-for-the-Dole Scheme gives unemployed people an ideal opportunity to develop some useful skills they can potentially use in the workforce.

Our Training and Workshops

As part of our charter we provide workshops periodically in areas needed for the production of programmes. These include editing; lighting; filming; scriptwriting; sound recording and vision mixing.

These are available to all our paid members at discounted prices.
