Producing Programs

All program concepts are given equal consideration for potential broadcast. Locally produced programs that showcase local issues, multicultural communities, entertainment, politics, arts and culture, youth etc are strongly encouraged as well as short films, animation and documentaries.

The first step to submitting a program is to prepare a written proposal.  The proposal should contain as much information as possible on the program concept such as:

Overview
Your initial working title of the project
Description of the general concept and other ideas
Main content theme
Suggestion of types of viewers or target audience

For All Programs
Provide a program run-down which outline the items and segments that make up your    program and suggest details or locations of each item.
Pre-recorded or live-to-air? If live-to-air give details of venue to be used.
Estimate the time frame from commencement of production to completion

For On-going Series
Number of episodes in your series
Would you prefer your show to be run daily, weekly or fortnightly.

Access to Resources
Do you have access to production resources including equipment, crew, studios and    talent or do you need assistance from us?
Do you have access to post-production resources including editing equipment, sound    mixing, voiceover, graphics and editors...ect?
Do you want assistance with publicity or scripting?
Would you like assistance in training in any of the above areas?

Sponsorship & Financial Support
What avenues are available for funding of the program?
Are there any companies which you could approach for sponsorship?

Other Information
Add any other information that you feel would be relevant and helpful in the assessment of your proposal.

Broadcasters runs their programming in 13-week seasons. There are preferred program lengths — 13 mins, 26 mins or 52 mins.

After your proposal has been received you will be contacted by the programming committee of CTV Perth to help you further develop your ideas. Once the proposal is accepted you will then be given further details of what is required to produce your program.

The next stage will be to produce a pilot program. Once your pilot program has been produced, submitted and accepted then your program can be scheduled for production and broadcast.
